How We Work With Older Clients
Allied Health Services for Older Australians
Therapy Hub is committed to providing warm, accessible allied health care to older Australians. We understand that many older clients and their families are navigating a complex aged care system, and we want to make accessing our services as simple as possible.
Therapy Hub directly accepts older clients through private fees, Medicare, and DVA. We do not currently hold direct registration as a government-funded aged care provider for Support at Home or CHSP, which means clients with those funding types cannot book with us directly through those programs.
However, Therapy Hub does provide allied health services to aged care clients through contracted arrangements with registered aged care providers. If your home care provider or aged care organisation has an arrangement with Therapy Hub, you may be able to access our services through your existing aged care funding. Please contact your provider or our admin team to find out more.

Services for Older Australians at Therapy Hub
Our clinicians have experience working with older Australians across a broad range of conditions and settings. Services are available at our four Perth clinics, via our mobile service, and via telehealth.
Occupational Therapy
OT supports older Australians to maintain independence and safety at home and in the community. We provide home safety assessments, assistive technology recommendations, falls prevention, functional capacity assessments, and support with daily living activities.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy helps older adults maintain mobility, manage chronic pain, recover from injury or surgery, and reduce the risk of falls. We provide assessment and treatment for musculoskeletal, neurological, and age-related physical conditions.
Psychology
Psychological support for older adults addresses anxiety, depression, adjustment to life changes, grief and loss, and the emotional impact of chronic illness. Sessions are available in clinic and via telehealth for clients who find travel difficult.
Speech Pathology
Speech pathology supports older adults with communication difficulties and swallowing concerns (dysphagia), which are common following stroke, neurological conditions, and other age-related changes. Clinic-based and mobile services available.
Understanding the System
How Government Aged Care Funding Works
If you or a family member may be eligible for government-funded aged care services, here is a plain-language overview of the main programs and who to contact to get started. These programs are not managed by Therapy Hub, but we want to make sure you have the information you need.
Support at Home
From 1 November 2025Support at Home is the new Australian Government program that replaced Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care from 1 November 2025. Allied health services such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy are classified as Clinical Care under this program and are fully government-funded, with no consumer contribution required.
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
Entry-level support, continuing until at least 2027The CHSP provides entry-level, subsidised services to help older Australians remain living at home. It includes allied health services such as OT, physiotherapy, and speech pathology. CHSP is continuing until at least 30 June 2027, after which it is expected to merge into Support at Home.
Residential Aged Care
For those living in aged care facilitiesResidents of aged care facilities can access allied health services as part of their residential care. Allied health is typically provided by practitioners contracted to the facility. If your family member is in residential care and requires allied health support, speak directly with the facility's care team about available services.
Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
For eligible veterans and war widowsMany older Australians are eligible for DVA-funded allied health services through the Gold Card or White Card. DVA funding can be used alongside aged care services in many circumstances, and Therapy Hub accepts both DVA Gold Card and White Card holders directly — no aged care registration required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I access Therapy Hub with Home Care Package or CHSP funding?

Contact your provider or our admin team to check.
